Ripping the mask off: Holder's public alliance with Al Sharpton

Want proof that Eric Holder is an ideologue (as if you needed more)? His public alliance with Al Sharpton in the wake of the Trayvon Martin case about seals it. This is the perfect case study if you're looking for the exact opposite of a 'Sister Soulja' moment. If anyone has been publicly damaged by the handling of the Trayvon Martin case, it's Al Sharpton. If there's anyone that an administration official should consider radioactive, Sharpton is it.

That hasn't stopped Holder from publicly aligning with him.

Via CNS News:
Attorney General Eric Holder praised left-wing activist Rev. Al Sharpton at the opening of the National Action Network (NAN) convention on Wednesday, and also stressed that the Justice Department is conducting a thorough investigation of the fatal Trayvon Martin shooting that “will examine the facts and the law.”

Sharpton, president of NAN and host of MSNBC’s Politics Nation, has led several rallies demanding the arrest of George Zimmerman, who reportedly shot Martin on Feb. 26. On Mar. 30 in Sanford, Fla., where the shooting occurred, Sharpton pledged that his group  would “move to the next level if Zimmerman isn’t arrested.”

At the opening of NAN’s 14th annual convention in Washington, D.C., the attorney general first thanked MSNBC’s Rev. Sharpton “for your partnership, your friendship, and your tireless efforts to speak out for the voiceless, to stand up for the powerless, and to shine a light on the problems we must solve, and the promises we must fulfill.”
Meanwhile, white males are being beaten by black males as a direct consequence of Sharpton's actions and the actions of the New Black Panther Party (NBPP).

What happens to Santorum's Delegates?

Now that Rick Santorum has exited the presidential race, what happens to his 285 delegates?

Via ABC News:
ABC estimates that 78 Santorum delegates, from his wins in states that don’t “award” their delegates – Iowa, Colorado, Minnesota, and North Dakota, would have been free to support any candidate at the Republican National Convention in Tampa.

Another two of Santorum’s delegates were Republican National Committee superdelegates, who will attend the convention by virtue of their positions in the party, and are also free to support whomever they choose in Tampa.
Santorum won seven more delegates from unbound caucus states Washington and Wyoming.

He won another 10 delegates from Illinois, where they would not be required by state or national-party rule to vote for Santorum in Tampa, either, although Santorum’s campaign presented their names and qualifying signatures to the state board of elections.

That leaves 188 Santorum delegates heading to Tampa. They’ll be required to vote for him, unless he chooses to release them, according to state-party rules.

Even if Santorum endorses Romney, that doesn’t mean he can gift all of his delegates to his former rival.  Should Santorum elect to release his delegates, they’ll become free agents, able to support whichever candidate they choose.
It will be interesting to see where those unbound 97 delegates go; it will be interesting to see if Santorum releases the remaining 188; and it will be interesting to see if he endorses Gingrich or Romney. If Santorum favors a brokered convention over a Romney nomination, a Gingrich endorsement would make the most sense.

The establishment sees Santorum's exit as a major victory for Romney.

Video: O'Keefe now being investigated for showing how easy it is to commit Voter Fraud?

When a man with James O'Keefe's Project Veritas was nearly able to obtain Attorney General Eric Holder's ballot at a polling station, it revealed a major flaw. However, instead of having any interest in correcting that flaw, Washington D.C. election officials are investigating... O'Keefe. It is apparently a crime, punishable by a fine of up to $10,000 and five years in prison, to pretend to vote as someone other than yourself.

This news report doesn't do a very good job of clarifying that the man representing O'Keefe's group never once claimed he was Eric Holder or even attempted to get his ballot.

Via Breitbart:

O'Keefe has now responded to the news that he may be investigated:
“[He] simply asked the question ‘Do you have an Eric Holder?’” O'Keefe said in an exclusive statement to Breitbart.com.

“The voting procedures within our nation’s capital then allowed for a ballot to be offered without verification. The automatic response of the D.C. Board of Elections is to shoot the messenger rather than addressing the issues of integrity within their own election process.”

O'Keefe and Project Veritas have carried out similar stings in other states, prompting legislatures to pass voter ID laws that protect all citizens from effective disenfranchisement.
Meanwhile, the Department of Justice is still silent on the New Black Panther Party's $10,000 bounty on a private citizen.
